A tough question?????

As I peacefully slumbered, I found myself in a dream filled with praise and recognition.

Amidst the dream's tranquility, a voice whispered, "You have done a brilliant job, Vijay. You have been rewarded..."

In the background, a peculiar chant emerged, "Vvvvvvviiii……ViiiiiiiiiiiJaaaaaaaayyyyyy………… ViiiiiiiiiiiJaaaaaaaayyyyy.- what!!"

Suddenly, I was jolted awake by a sharp exclamation. "ViiiiiiiiiiiJaaaaaaaay … ."

Annoyed by the disruption, I grumbled and threw off my blanket. "What's going on now?" I thought. My wife's persistent yelling was a constant source of annoyance, even in my dreams. Irritated, I got out of bed.

"ViiiiiiiiiiiJaaaaaaaay …." The call persisted.

Sighing heavily, I responded, "Coming, Vathsala. What's the matter? Why are you shouting like this?"

I rushed downstairs, bewildered by the commotion. To my surprise, I found my wife, Vathsala, and our 7-year-old daughter, Achala, seated on the couch, both seemingly content, watching TV. Everything appeared normal, which only added to my confusion. What was happening? Was I still in a dream?

"Vathsala…" I began.

"Yeah, Vijay?" She replied calmly.

"You called me, and you yelled," I pointed out.

"Yes, you're right," she acknowledged.

"Is everything okay here? Why did you scream like that?" I inquired, puzzled.

"It's because it's almost 8 a.m. now," she explained.

I remained perplexed by her explanation. Was this some sort of prank? And even if it was, was it the right time for it? I had an important 9 a.m. meeting at the office.

"So?" I responded. "It's going to be 8 am, yes. So what?"

"Vijay, don't tell me you've forgotten," Vathsala chided.

I struggled to grasp the significance of the date. Was it her birthday? No, that had passed back in February. Our daughter's birthday? We'd celebrated that just last month. That left only one possibility: our anniversary.

"Hey Vathsala, how could I forget our anniversary…" I began.

But before I could finish, Vathsala interrupted with disbelief, "What? Anniversary?"

Realization dawned on me; it wasn't our anniversary. My mind raced, desperately trying to recall the importance of the date. My daughter's birthday? No, that was already celebrated. I was stumped.

"Vathsala, please tell me," I pleaded, feigning amnesia.

"Vijay, you don't remember at all?" she asked.

I played my role, shaking my head to indicate my memory lapse.

"Vijay, as part of the annual day celebrations, today is 'Daddy's Day' at Achala's school. I've been telling you for the past three weeks. Don't tell me you forgot. You already promised to go with her to her school," Vathsala explained.

I couldn't believe that I'd agreed to something like this. "Vathsala, did I really agree to this?"

"Yes, you did," she affirmed. "It starts at 8:30 am and ends at 1 pm."

Panic set in as I realized the time. It was already 9 a.m., and I had a critical meeting. How could I possibly attend both?

"Vathsala, couldn't you have reminded me yesterday?" I attempted to shift the blame.

"Oh, I didn't remind you? Great. I didn't call your office or remind you in the evening or before bedtime," she retorted sarcastically.

I decided to surrender. "Vathsala, I'm sorry, but I genuinely don't remember. This cough medicine I'm taking, it's affecting my memory. What's today?"

But Vathsala remained unconvinced by my excuse. "Vijay, you don't remember at all?"

I kept up my act, feigning amnesia.

"Vijay, please tell me," I pleaded pitifully.

"Vijay, today is 'Daddy's Day' in Achala's school," Vathsala reiterated. "You already promised to go with her."

Feeling trapped, I reluctantly agreed to attend, but with a time constraint. I had to salvage my important meeting.

"Do you know the school's name and the way there, or should I guide you?" Vathsala asked, irritation evident in her voice as she left the living room.

I rushed to get ready and called my manager, concocting an excuse about a traffic jam and postponing the meeting to 10 a.m. I then accompanied Achala to her school.

Entering her school, I realized it was my first time inside. The campus had a vast playground and a small park with children playing all around. Stalls were set up, and fathers were bustling with excitement. I felt a tap on my hand.

"Are you Achala's daddy?" a curly-haired child asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

I confirmed, "Yes, I am her dad."

The child introduced me to others. Brimming with enthusiasm, Achala listed her friends' names, and we exchanged greetings. I couldn't help but smile at her zest.

"Uncle, Achchu told us you have a lot of work, and you wouldn't come today. You don't have work, Uncle?" a boy named Zakir inquired.

Zakir's words struck a chord, and I felt a pang of guilt. "No, Zakir, I don't have work today," I admitted.

As the school's games began, I started to feel anxious. The first activity involved fathers answering questions about their children. It suddenly hit me—I knew very little about Achala. I hesitated and suggested to Achala that we wait for the next game.

But she surprised me by pulling out a small piece of paper from her pocket and handing it to me. Perplexed, I unfolded it and read her handwritten notes. She had prepared it days ago, anticipating the game. It contained details about herself, things I had no idea

 about. My heart sank, realizing how little I knew about my own daughter.

"Achchu," I stammered, "we should play this game, right now."

We participated, and although I answered most of the questions based on the notes Achala had given me, I felt like a fraud. She was called up on stage, and her responses confirmed my information. We achieved the second-highest score in the game, but my victory felt hollow.

Achala looked overjoyed, showing her prize, a toy guitar, to Zakir. I caressed her hair, struck by her kindness in preparing those notes for me. A lump formed in my throat, and my heart felt heavy. I realized how much of her life had passed by without my active involvement.

My phone rang, and I saw that it was my manager calling. It was already 10 a.m. I glanced at Achala, who had become visibly crestfallen.

"Daddy, do you have to leave now?" she asked quietly.

I checked the time; my heart ached. I looked around at the other fathers enjoying the day with their children, recalling the moments I had longed for as a child with my own father. His support, presence, and undivided attention had meant the world to me.

"Daddy, I'm not going anywhere. We're spending the whole day together," I assured her.

Achala's eyes lit up with joy. I called my manager, citing a high fever as an excuse, and postponed the meeting to the next day. Today, my daughter needed me more than anything else. With a lighter heart, I scooped Achala into my arms and swung her around, prompting her laughter to fill the air.

As the day went on, I realized that life's true meaning lay in these precious moments with our loved ones. We often become so engrossed in our work that we forget to cherish the relationships that matter most. This unexpected "Daddy's Day" taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of being present for our loved ones and the richness that family brings to our lives.

Future of Developers, is AI is going take developers?

 Introduction:

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has made great progress and brought changes to many industries. The field of software development is one of the most interesting fields. With the introduction of AI tools like GitHub Copilot, the debate on whether AI will replace human developers is growing. In this article, we will explore the potential impact of AI on future developers and discuss how we can view this technology as a valuable tool rather than a threat.

The Rise of Artificial Intelligence in Software Development:

Artificial intelligence has left its mark on software development. Tools like Copilot, which use machine learning algorithms to create custom instructions, are popular with developers. Copilot analyzes large amounts of code in the open-source environment and provides actionable instructions to developers. The technology is designed to be efficient and effective through repeated coding.

Complementarity of AI and Developers:

While AI-powered tools like Copilot provide valuable assistance to developers, it is important to realize that they will not replace human development. Instead, they serve as powerful support tools that support developers and keep their projects running. AI helps automate mundane and repetitive coding tasks, allowing developers to focus on the complex and creative problems of software development.

Increase Productivity and Efficiency:

Manufacturers can increase their productivity and efficiency by using smart tools like Copilot. This tool can create code snippets, show how to use functions, and provide instant feedback, reducing manual coding time. This allows developers to iterate faster, test different methods, and deliver quality software in less time.

Fostering Innovation and Creativity:

AI-powered tools not only help developers write code but encourage innovation and creativity. With routine work automated, developers can spend more time brainstorming, exploring new solutions, and pushing the boundaries of software development. AI can provide inspiration, advice, and other avenues that developers might not have thought of.

Humanity in Software Development:

Although artificial intelligence can be used in some aspects of software development, it cannot reproduce the human and emotional nature of developers. Developers have a deep understanding of business needs, user needs, and the entire software development environment. They have the ability to make decisions, act proactively, and adapt to change. Such individuals are essential to successful software development and cannot be replaced by expertise.

Conclusion:

In the age of intelligence, the future of producers is not revolution, but cooperation. AI tools like Copilot have the potential to transform the way manufacturing works and make them more efficient and effective. By performing repetitive tasks, developers can focus on creativity and solving complex problems of software development. It is important to look at AI not as a threat but as an asset that supports and increases productivity. Together, developers and talent can drive innovation, push boundaries, and shape the future of software development. So let's embrace the future with open arms and harness the power of intelligence to create great solutions.

why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much

Long back... Some where  i read  this story.....and i stored in hard Disk....yesterday i found again ....then i thought to share.....

I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.

FOR EXAMPLE:

One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed.Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, 'I don't feel like it,I just want you to hold me.'

I said, 'WHAT??!! What was that?!'

So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear...

'You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enoughfor me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.'

She responded to my puzzled look by saying,'Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?'

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.

The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her.We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store.I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits.She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy them all.She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, 'Lets get a pair for each outfit.'

We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.Let me tell you... she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck.I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis braceletwhen she doesn't even know how to play tennis.

I think I threw her for a loop when I said, 'That's fine, honey.'She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, 'I think this is alldear, let's go to the cashier.'

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, 'No honey, I don't feel like it.'

Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, 'WHAT?'

I then said, 'Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while.You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enoughfor me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman.'

And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added,'Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?'

Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least the bitch knows I'm smarter than her.

Three ideas to work smarter in 2011

After a planning to start new venture i just ahd issues with partners planning and scheduling so i decide to write small blog which will help them and help others too , importantly it will help me to remember.

all the below details taken form my company tips pages hope they don't have copyright issues.

Three ideas to work smarter

How do you plan to work smarter in 2011? The new year is shaping up to be bright — and packed with exciting new projects, plans and goals to accomplish. Here are a few ideas about how to better manage your work day. If you agree, disagree or just want to tell us what you think, email us. Share your personal strategies and tips for working smarter. Your colleagues and friends could benefit from your experience.

1. EXAMINE HOW MUCH TIME YOU SPEND ON EMAIL.
Does it take up too much of your time? if so read this

Email Overload?

Follow the one-touch email rule
Like it or not, email floods in all day long. How many emails do you receive? 100 per day? 200? More?
And what do you do with them? Open most of them, respond to some, and leave some for later. Come back to the low-priority ones, and leave some of them for later – again. Spend weekends deleting the unnecessary ones. Sound familiar?
And we all dread this warning: Your mailbox is almost full
One-touch email handling just might be the answer.
When you get an email, glance through it, and immediately do one of the following:
  • Delete it
  • Reply to it
  • Delegate the action
  • Schedule the action
  • File it

2. SPEND TIME TO GET ORGANIZED AND PLAN EACH DAY.
For example, you might take a few minutes at the end of each day to think about the next day’s tasks. Organizing your thoughts and action steps will help you leave work with some peace of mind and a good game plan for tomorrow.

3. SCHEDULE TIME FOR YOURSELF TO DO THE WORK YOU PLAN.
Whenever possible, schedule time for yourself to actually do the work that’s on your list. Think carefully about how much time is actually needed for each task if you could do it without interruption.

What’s on your mind? We want to know what you will be doing in 2011 to become a smarter employee.

Thank u and as i always request you guys to post a comments on my posts thanks you

MNP-->Mobile Number Portability

What is it MNP (Mobile Number Portability) ?

It is a new facility that allows you to switch your user without changing your mobile number. In fact, mobile number portability can be done even if you keep the same technology—GSM to GSM connection—or change it —CDMA to GSM connection and vice versa.

How to switch -

Rules:
1) Subscribers who want to avail of this service, first need to send an SMS: PORTyour mobile number to 1900 from their mobile. They will get an eight-digit alphanumeric code and an expiry date for that code from the current service provider. This code is called unique porting code, or UPC.

2) Then he needs to fill the application in a particular format and mention the new service provider, he would like to subscribe for.

3) The new service provider will collect the information about the user from the current operator. A time period of seven days will be taken for the complete transfer of mobile number to the network of the new mobile operator.

d) As a transformation charge for the new operator the subscriber has to pay Rs 19.c

Telcom launch special plans for MNP customers.

here is sumary of them

Telecom operators like BSNL and MTS today announced various schemes to woo subscribers of other companies.
State-owned BSNL will provide free 2G and 3G connections, besides free talktime to MNP customers migrating to BSNL.
"No port in charges shall be levied to customers moving to BSNL. Besides this, the SIM card for 2G/3G shall be provided free of cost, along with an additional talk value of Rs 100 for prepaid customers," BSNL said in a statement.
Subscribers will also get 50 per cent rebate on the first month charges along with free 5 GB GPRS/3G usage for a month.
MNP has not only ushered in fresh competition among GSM operators, but between GSM and CDMA operators as well.
Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), which offers CDMA services under MTS brand name, said it will offer a range of smartphones through easy monthly instalment (EMI) options, along with free talktime.

Besides, CDMA customers switching to MTS would be offered half paisa per second tariff for all local calls valid for three months on buying the first recharge coupon of Rs 13.

Apart from wooing new customers, telcos are also launching innovative schemes to retain existing customers.

Loop Mobile, which operates in Mumbai, has launched a new offer under which its subscribers will get minimum 0.50 paise per minute for every call drop in Mumbai and Thane.

Customers will have to pay a maximum of Rs 19 to their existing operators to change their networks and new operators have the option to either waive the fee or reduce it.

However, a consumer will have to remain with one operator for a minimum of three months, for availing the MNP service.

Uninor, the JV company between Norwegian firm Telenor and Unitech, said the company will go with its Dynamic Pricing scheme to attract pre-paid subscribers to its network.

"The customer can keep the same number but start getting up to 60 per cent discounts on all the calls that is a powerful proposition," Uninor said in a statement.

The Department of Telecommunications has said the entire process of switching operators will take a maximum of seven days and subscribers may face disruption of services for about two hours during that period

New Delhi: The White House will, of course, stay in Washington but the heart of the famous building will move to India when President Barack Obama lands in Mumbai on Saturday.
Communications set-up, nuclear button, a fleet of limousines and majority of the White House staff will be in India accompanying the President on this three-day visit that will cover Mumbai and Delhi.
He will also be protected by a fleet of 34 warships, including an aircraft carrier, which will patrol the sea lanes off the Mumbai coast during his two-day stay there beginning Saturday. The measure has been taken as Mumbai attack in 2008 took place from the sea.
Arrangements have been put in place for emergency evacuation, if needed.
Obama is expected to fly by a helicopter -- Marine One -- from the city airport to the Indian Navy's helibase INS Shikra at Colaba in south Mumbai.
From there, he will drive down in Lincoln Continental -- the Presidential limousine -- to the nearby the Taj Hotel.
Two jets, armed with advanced communication and security systems, and a fleet of over 40 cars will be part of Obama's convoy.
Around 800 rooms have been booked for the President and his entourage in Taj Hotel and Hyatt.
The President will have a security ring of American elite Secret Service, which is tasked to guard the President, along with National Security Guards (NSG) and personnel from central paramilitary forces and local police in Mumbai and Delhi.
Similar arrangements will be in place in Delhi, with the Air Force One to be kept in all readiness throughout Obama's stay here from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning.
Maurya Hotel, where the President will stay, has already been swarmed by American security personnel and protective measures have been put in place.
Security drills are already been carried out at the hotel as well as Rajghat, which he will visit.

Things to think for Baby (For Married couples)

Today afternoon when i wake up its 2pm,i came to know its to late to office. fastly i get ready to office,me and Jai(My friend) had Lunch in resturant(Green chilli) and he droped me to bustop.....

In busstop i saw a newly married couples seeing the childrens photos...suddenly my Mind(criminal Mind) thinking of words said by one of my friend(Newly Married Couple) that they also planning for children.
and the Plenty of Questions in mind arrised.
like.....
wat is the right time for children..?
what are the parameters need to consider..?
Dont they need atleast some gap..?
what are the plannings can be done..?
........so on...
and i started thing in bus stand ...suddenly Big sound hit my Hear.....i said "ho...the bus" and i get the bus and reach the office....and i start thinking y nott i do research on internet for this, which will help for newly married couples(Friends too)  though it helps me in future.....
after doing some research i came to know that,It's a very, very tough choice to make, and even more so today when a couple has so many more things to manage and take into account when making this decision. It's one of the biggest and most important decisions of your life.

Planning a baby is an extra sensitive issue because it's subject to a powerful influence from people all around - mostly family(My nanny use to say she needs a grand grand son). This only makes the decision harder and more complex.

So apart from you being ready, your partner needs to be ready to. Here's what you and he need to consider before you take the decission.
Some of imformation got from internet.
you can Break it down into 4 parts - Money, Personal, Career, and Biology.

Money. Having a baby is expensive. Doctors, pre-natal care, the actual delivery, provisioning for any complications or emergencies, post-natal care… all this costs money, and a lot of it. And don't forget, if both of you work, you as the mother, will not be working for a long stretch. This impacts the family finances.

Do you have enough savings and emergency funds?
Is there an FD, SIP or ULIP maturing soon that you can liquidate?
think about heavy EMIs for personal loans, a car or your home?
Do you both have any dependents?
Do you have any major expenses coming up?

The question of money is especially critical in either early marriages (when both of you haven't had enough time to build up savings) or late ones (when parents are retired and are usually dependent on you).
And let's not even think of the "Congratulations! They're triplets!" scenario. Because one day, they'll all want you to pay their US college admission fees together.

Think OFF:They worry, but not so much. Making the money is a challenge, a game. Being able to provide the best that money can buy for their children gives guys a kick, one that they're used to and enjoy. What you have to think of is the planning - so the sooner you start discussing it and preparing for it, the better he'll be able to take it.

Personal: Babies are a full-time job. Once you're pregnant, forget any plans you may have had of travel, adventure, new experiences. Before the birth, it's medically risky, and after, there will be no time to even sleep properly, never mind anything else. So if you're in no hurry, think very hard if there was something you really, really wanted to do in life - travel somewhere, Doing any new cources, make a film, do that two-month yoga course in the Himalayas, climb a mountain… this is your chance. It's literally now u have to think.
At the same time, don't make this an excuse to delay the process. There are always things to do. The question is, how many of them are things that will leave your life incomplete, Stick to what's important, and give yourself a time limit.

Think OFF: A tough one to handle, because they do feel a little excluded from the process - and you, as the mother, will always be closer to the baby. A chance that they'll feel neglected, or restricted, or in some way deprived of all the fun they used to have is a distinct possibility. Add to that the guilt they feel about these emotions, and you have a major issue on your hands. Make sure you give him a chance to be involved, and have fun being involved.
Career: The Toughest one. You know you're going to have to take a break when the time comes but where are you today, and what are your plans? Are you heading up the corporate ladder, seeing some really big breaks coming up? Is your career poised on the edge of a take-off? Are you doing something you really love? And don't lie when you ask yourself these questions. It's a very valid thing to keep in mind - and a single income sometimes isn't enough. It puts a lot of pressure on the earner. It limits your options far too much, makes you pinch too many pennies and make too many sacrifices.

Also think about your partner's career. While he will keep working, is he stable? Is he likely to get fired anytime? Or transferred to some remote place?the kind of job is most travelling?
Deciding to have a baby is completely in your control. Careers often aren't. Do the two of you need to make some decisions about your working lives first.
Think OFF: Again, not seen as a very major issue; it's easy for guys to go into the role of 'provider' because society's been gearing them up for that all their lives. The maximum impact becoming a father has on a guy's career is maybe shorter hours at office, more time at home, and career relocation decisions that take schools into account.

Time: We've come a long way, medically; but you need to remember that the optimal time, the period when you're at your physical peak, able to handle any stress, physical demands, and recover fastest, is still between 18 and 32. And having a baby is physically challenging.

Secondly, the biological clock. Sure, you can have a baby at 45. Women have done it. But it won't be easy. It'll be very, very difficult. So if you're already into your thirties, you need to think about it really hard. All other considerations become second priority now.

Also think about how many babies you want to have. And how old you'll be when they're walking, playing outdoors, going to school, experimenting with life and illegal substances, getting into trouble. Are you going to be able to physically cope? (I dont know How Salman Khan will Manage)

Think OFF: Physical maturity is not an issue; emotional maturity is. And that isn't attached to any age.
The overall guy reaction: Almost equal parts of pride, worry, and jealousy.
Pride is fairly self-explanatory; chances are he'll be walking around with such a swollen head anyone would think he conceived, carried and delivered all by himself.

Worry is mostly around the sheer physical presence of the baby; they're terrified of being clumsy, doing something wrong, and generally screwing things up. It's very easy for this feeling to become too much to handle, since they already feel a little excluded; let him know that it's okay to not be perfect all the time. He still has a very important, critical role to play.

Jealousy is the hardest to handle, because they won't admit it and nobody expects it. But think for a minute. He was the most important thing in your life until now, and suddenly there's this new person, who not only won't let him do most of the stuff he likes but stops him sleeping, turns his life upside-down, and takes away his wife's attention completely for years. Jealousy's a natural first reaction, but fades away once he realises he's still important, more than ever before, but in a different way.

These are big things to think about, and you should take time out to think them through - take a stock of your life, your goals, your dreams, and things that affect it. Think through all this together and don't be distracted. Make a decision. Plan for it. And let it be the most wonderful experience of your life

PROLONGED SITTING IS UNHEALTHY

This alert especially for Software Professionals .
Today(4th may 8:47 pm)After Finishing office work and  checking mails.
And i Like To thanks for the www.Yahoo.com for giveing such a Higlighted news Feature u can fallow the link to see th UI is simply Help full. okay Let s come to the point....With The help of Yahoo i found a Head line "

"Don't keep sitting! Walk"  By seeing Headline i thought it is same old Story coz i have read is some forward mails. My curious makes me to fallow the link and to find the Content.....

After Reading that Content I get shocked boz i never knew the effect of Sitting for long time
So i decide to post a link and i thought if the Information is removed mean.... then  i thought better to paste the whole content here....so pls read and know the fact.....

YOU ARE settled comfortably in your seat and are about to begin eating the chicken curry meal set before you. After this you plan to watch a movie until your flight reaches New York City.
All of a sudden, you feel a sensation of pain shooting through your chest. You get breathless, break into a sweat and begin coughing up blood. Though some of these symptoms may resemble a heart attack, what you are actually experiencing is pulmonary embolism.
A blood clot has blocked an artery of your lung, which may result in death. When you sit in the same position for a long time, the muscles in your calves are immobile and the blood in that area becomes static, resulting in a clot.
This condition is called deep vein thrombosis ( DVT) and may lead to complications as serious as a stroke, blindness and kidney disorder besides creating a blockage in the lung.
PROLONGED SITTING IS UNHEALTHY
THE veins in your legs play a major role in blood circulation of your body. While the heart sends the blood to all the peripheral areas of the body, the leg veins work against gravity to push the blood back to the heart.
The lack of movement leads to stagnation of the blood in the calf and subsequently DVT. This condition leads to swelling and pain in the calf, ankle and foot of the affected leg. You may also notice discolouration of the skin.
However, DVT often occurs without any symptoms which make it more serious because the blood clot that has formed in your vein can break loose and migrate to the lungs, brain or kidneys. Besides long distance travellers, DVT affects stroke patients who are bed ridden.
"Around 50 percent stroke patients get DVT and 5 percent of them die because of complications. That's the reason why all stroke patients should take precautions to avoid DVT and their physicians should also look for swelling in the legs during routine checkups," says Dr P N Renjen, senior consultant neurologist, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
SEVERAL TRIGGERS
WHILE some people are predisposed to DVT, there are several triggers which can make you prone to the disorder even if you are not susceptible. Stroke, blood clotting disorder, injury to the blood vessel, obesity, cancer, smoking, diabetes, hypertension, heart ailments, pregnancy and use of contraceptives increase the risk of DVT.
"Birth control pills contain different forms of the female hormones estrogen and progestin. Estrogen increases the production of certain chemicals necessary for the blood clotting and also increases platelet numbers and the stickiness of platelets. This same increase in estrogen also occurs naturally in late pregnancy, resulting in a similar or greater increase in the risk of DVTs," says Dr Ashish Srivastava, senior consultant neurosurgeon, B L Kapur Memorial Hospital.
Certain cancers also lead to production of proteins which can increase the risk of DVT. Overweight people are more prone to the disorder because more weight means more pressure is exerted in the veins of your pelvis and legs, causing them to weaken.
A family history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism also increases your risk of developing DVT. If you are about to undergo a surgery which would require you to take bed rest for a long time, ask the doctor if you are at risk of getting DVT.
"Such patients should be given blood thinners before the surgery to reduce the chances of blood clotting and DVT," says Dr Prabal Roy, head of minimal invasive surgery, Asian Institute of Medical Sciences.
Also DVT pumps are essential for bed ridden patients. "These pumps help in passive feet movement and keep the blood moving. All the patients admitted to the ICU should be recommended these pumps. However, it demands proactive attitude from physicians which is not common," says Dr Srivastava.
TREAT IT AS EMERGENCY
IF A blood clot is detected in your leg, this should be treated as an emergency. An ultrasound test is generally recommended by doctors to confirm the presence of a clot. This can indicate the precise location of the clot and whether it is growing.
Once this is confirmed, the treatment administered must ensure that the blood flow is restored; the clot should not increase in size and it should not break and migrate to other body organs.
"First of all the foot should be elevated to neutralise the effect of gravity and compression stocking should be put on the legs to increase the blood flow. Any clot bigger than 50 cm can be fatal. Blood thinners are injected for the first 3-4 days to stabilise the clot. Over a period of six months, with the help of medicines and lifestyle changes the veins rechannelise. However, the patients always need to take life- long preventive steps to avoid a recurrence," says Dr Roy.
In certain patients, DVT can be so severe that the clots increase in size suddenly causing venous gangrene which can severely damage the legs. Though such cases are very rare, blood clots do have the potential to turn fatal if not attended to on time.
"In this situation, medicines are given to dissolve the clot and ensure that it does not move to other parts of body. A filter is generally inserted in the vein which opens up like an umbrella and blocks the clot," says Dr Roy.
So next time you take a flight, avoid sitting for too long.
TIPS TO PREVENT DVT
Get up from your seat and move around after every couple of hours when you are travelling long distance. Avoid drinking too much liquor and eating heavy food because this can lead to dehydration.
Dehydration thickens the blood and makes it more prone to clotting. Elevate your legs to increase the flow of blood in the veins. DVT pumps are recommended for passive feet movement among bedridden patients. They wear compression boots that inflate intermittently to propel the blood forward and avoid clotting.

Google OS ITS CHROME

"Crome "

The next generation OS, that search engine gaint google going to release in 2010.

here i am going to share information with u.

According to google official BLOG...............

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Because we're already talking to partners about the project, and we'll soon be working with the open source community, we wanted to share our vision now so everyone understands what we are trying to achieve.
Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We're designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work....."

Abstract, interface,listners -ii

hi....I hope u people bit get idea abt adapters, listners..by reading previous post...
to make easy to understand demonstrated with example..
Simple Event Handler
Start with a simple example. Suppose we want to print "Hello" when a button is pressed. Button fires an actionPerformed event when pressed, which is the only method in the ActionListener interface. We could write the following code to accomplish this task:
SayHello.javaimport java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public class SayHello implements ActionListener {
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
System.out.println("Hello");
}
}

EX.java
import java.awt.*;
public class EX{
public static void main(String[] args) {
Frame f = new Frame();
Button b = new Button("Press me");
b.addActionListener(new SayHello());
f.add(b);
f.setVisible(true);
// application exit handler omitted
}
}
Simple Anonymous Inner Class
It seems like a waste to create an entirely new class just to say "Hello". This uses up a class name in our namespace, and unique names can be difficult to create.
To help this, we create an anonymous inner class by writing the event handler class code in the call to register the event handler. The new test class looks as follows:
ex2.javaimport java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public ex2{
public static void main(String[] args) {
Frame f = new Frame();
Button b = new Button("Press me");
b.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
System.out.println("Hello");
}});
f.add(b);
f.setVisible(true);
// application exit handler omitted
}
}
ActionListener is an interface! Whenever you see "new" followed by an interface name and a "{" (open curly brace), you're creating an anonymous inner class. You would readnew ActionListener() { ... }
as "Create a new instance of some class (we don't care what its name is) that implements ActionListener, and the details are in the curly braces."
This is a convenient shorthand for creating event handlers.
Event Adapters
Some event listener interfaces require several methods. For example, WindowListener requires seven methods. Normally, you only care about one of these methods, windowClosing. If we were to write an anonymous inner class to close an application, it might look as followsFrame f = new Frame();
f.addWindowListener(new WindowListener() {
public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) {
System.exit(0);
}
public void windowClosed(WindowEvent e) {}
public void windowOpened(WindowEvent e) {}
public void windowIconified(WindowEvent e) {}
public void windowDeiconified(WindowEvent e) {}
public void windowActivated(WindowEvent e) {}
public void windowDeactivated(WindowEvent e) {}
});
All of those dummy methods are really a lot of noise. In java.awt.event, Sun defined a class called WindowAdapter that implements WindowListener with seven dummy methods. This means that you can extend WindowAdapter and you only need to override the classes you care about. The above code becomes:Frame f = new Frame();
f.addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) {
System.exit(0);
}});
You read the anonymous inner class above as "create an instance of some class (we don't care what its name is) that extends WindowAdapter, and the details are in the curly braces."
The full example for the button press and window close follows:
SimpleGUI3.javaimport java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;
public class EXGUI3 {
public static void main(String[] args) {
Frame f = new Frame();
Button b = new Button("Press me");
b.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
System.out.println("Hello");
}});
f.add(b);
f.addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
public void windowClosing(WindowEvent e) {
System.exit(0);
}});
f.setVisible(true);
// application exit handler omitted
}
}

Adapter, Interface and listeners in java

Adapter classes:
Many listener interfaces have more than one callback method.
Example:java.awt.FocusListener that has two methods;
focusGained(java.awt.FocusEvent event) and
focusLost(java.awt.FocusEvent event).
When creating a listener class that implements the interface the Java compiler insists that all of the interface methods are implemented, which often results in many empty methods being created to satisfy its requirements when only one or some of its methods actually contain code. The following statement shows a FocusListener being used to perform some logic when a Java bean gains focus.
However, an empty focusLost method must be provided.
Component.addFocusListener(new java.awt.event.FocusListener() {
public void focusGained(java.awt.event.FocusEvent e) {
doFocusGainedCode();
}
public void focusLost(java.awt.event.FocusEvent e) {
}
});

To avoid having many empty listener methods for many listeners,
Adapter classes are provided. These implement the listener interface, and provide empty no-op implementation of its methods. The advantage is that the listener can extend these, and only specialize methods of choice without having to provide default implementations for the rest ( these are inherited from the Adapter ).
Component.addFocusListener(new java.awt.event.FocusAdapter() {
public void focusGained(java.awt.event.FocusEvent e) {
doFocusGainedCode();
}
});

for making easy to under stand i will continue this with example..in next post...Thank u..comments welcome....?

Last week, I downloaded Groove 2.0 (27MB) and Java 1.4 SDK with Forte CE (66MB). Played with these for 3-4 days. Verdict? Uninstalled Groove, kept Java.
My short summary on both these are below. Note that these two belong to two entirely different classes of software. I’m not attempting to compare these, but just writing down my experience.
Groove 2.0
A distributed collaboration (peer-to-peer) tool.
+ Great interface.
+ Very good collection of tools.
+ Simple SDK for writing your own tools.
- Terribly slow. tested in 2 machines, one with 327MB RAM and one with 128MB. PIII 500MHZ and 750MHZ running Win98. (Information from Internet sources)
- 27 MB download is a bit too much.

Java 1.4 SDK with Forte CE
You know what Java is. Forte is Sun’s IDE.
+ I think it is faster than 1.3.
+ Very good collection of tools.
+ Forte is pretty slick.
+ Web start for installing things over the web.
+ Easy installation. No messing up.
- 66 MB download is a bit too much.
